What we collect

You can create or join a room without making an account. To keep a call working, the service handles a temporary browser identifier, the room code, connection details, who is currently present, and messages sent in the room.

We do not ask video chat users for their name, contacts, or a profile.

Camera and microphone

Your browser will ask before the site uses your camera or microphone. Those streams are used for the call and are not intentionally recorded or saved by rolandvideochat.

You can switch either one off from the controls, or remove the browser permission later.

Rooms, messages, and reports

The room code, presence information, WebRTC signaling data, and chat messages are kept in our database while they are needed for the room. When the room is empty, its data is deleted.

A report includes the room code, a temporary reporter identifier, the participant identifiers, and the time it was sent. This lets a moderator look into a problem. Reports are deleted when an administrator closes that room.

Services we use

WebRTC may use configured STUN or TURN servers to help browsers connect when a direct connection is not possible.

These pages also request fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser, internet provider, or those services may keep their own technical logs.

Your choices

• Block camera and microphone access in your browser.
• Leave a room whenever you choose.
• Keep personal details out of room chat.
• Clear this site's data in your browser to remove local identifiers.
